Project Activities

  • Women's meaningful participation in economic and social activities creates a skilled human resource, and growth economy, and facilitates sustainable development (inauguration of local enterprise and distribution of required equipment’s to them).

Human Resources Management and development Organization (HRMDO) with financial support of UN-Women (Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund) inaugurated the local enterprise activities and distributed the required equipment’s under the Rainbow (An initiative to support disadvantaged Women, economic, livelihood and social inclusion) project in 12 and 13 district of Kabul city. Under this phase HRMDO in coordination and existence of local authorities and representation of Ministry of Industry and commerce distributed the required equipment’s based on their need and cash for 30 enterprise owner who already selected. Under this program, local enterprises under a specific plan and at a specific time will receive the necessary support, including of supplies and equipment for business development, professional training on new products and market needs, marketing and communication skills with customers, and also to create vocational capacities, they will get vocational training too. It is mentionable that baseline survey already conducted in the project and based on the criteria a joint team of HRMDO, MOIc and district 12 and 13 district selected the enterprises.

  • 2. Distribution of food packages for vocational training students.

To support the family livelihood, Human Resources Management and Development organization (HRMDO) under the Rainbow project (an initiative to support disadvantage women economic, livelihood and social inclusion) distributed 60 food packages which are include (wheat flour, Rice, cooking oil, bean, pea, sugar, tea and salt) to vocational training student in district 12 and 13 of Kabul city. The project is financially supported by UN-Women, Women peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) and implemented by Human Resources Management and Development organization (HRMDO) in district 12 and 13 of Kabul city.

  • 3. Distribution of Food Packages for the second time for vocational skill student

To support the family livelihood, Human Resources Management and Development organization (HRMDO) under the Rainbow project (an initiative to support disadvantage women economic, livelihood and social inclusion) distributed 60 food packages which are include (wheat flour, Rice, cooking oil, bean, pea, sugar, tea and salt) to vocational training student in district 12 and 13 of Kabul city for the second round. The project is financially supported by UN-Women, Women peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) and implemented by Human Resources Management and Development organization (HRMDO) in district 12 and 13 of Kabul city.

  • 4. Distribution of booster and sanitary packages for breastfeeding women and children

In order to support breastfeeding women and children, Human Resources Management and Development Organization (HRMDO) under rainbow (An initiative to support disadvantaged Women, economic, livelihood and social inclusion) project distributed 200 booster and sanitary packages for breastfeeding women and children in district 13 of Kabul City. which are include (two packages of milk, beans, sugar, oil, five cans of dates, Cyrillic for children and also sanitary materials). This project is implemented by the Human Resources Management and Development Organization (HRMDO) with the financial Support of the United Nations Women's Department in the 12th 13th districts of Kabul.

  • 5. Training and Capacity Building Session for Local Enterprises

In order to improve the capacity of local enterprises and vocational training students, Human Resource Management and Development Organization (HRMDO), under the Rainbow (an initiative to support the disadvantage women, economic, livelihood and social inclusion project) conducted 8 days training for both enterprise and vocational students. The training includes the following topics

  • Management and leadership
  • Office barrier
  • Procurement
  • Accounting
The training has been conducted in two district of Kabul city (12 & 13) and a total of 90 person participated in the training.

  • 6. Capacity Need Assessment of CSOs/NGOs

HRMDO under Outcome 1 of Rainbow project “Increased capacity and knowledge of local women's CSOs working with forcibly displaced women and girls” conducted the capacity need assessment of those CSOs who already has partnership with HRMDO. The assessment goal is to identify the selected CSOs capacity gaps and guide HRMDO and CSOs on developing effective capacity building plan. Based on the need assessment finding, HRMDO will provide capacity building sessions and awareness raising session to enhance the moral of women and girls, and community-based women entities to struggle the barriers and obstacles against their fundamental rights.

  • 7. Capacity building training in social consoling and nutrition for intern

HRMDO, held a two-day training workshop titled “Capacity building training in social consoling and nutrition for intern” as part of the “Rainbow Project” project. The workshop targeted 25 young women who are hired as intern under Rain bow (An initiative to support disadvantaged Women, economic, livelihood and social inclusion) project to enhance their knowledge and skills in social consoling and nutrition. The training aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to promote their well-being, conduct problem-solving and supportive counselling, have a general idea about children’s problems and psychosocial intervention for children and raise the public awareness in their families and community. This workshop also provided a valuable opportunity for participants to exchange experiences, gain knowledge, and build cooperative work networks. This training comes as part of the "Rainbow Project project, which is implemented by The Human Resource Management and Development Organization, and funded by Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund.

  • 9. Cash distribution to local small enterprises in district 12 & 13 of Kabul Province

Human Resource Management and Development Organization-HRMDO distributed cash to 30 local small enterprises in district 12 & 13 of Kabul Province, as part of the Rainbow (An initiative to support disadvantaged Women, economic, livelihood and social inclusion) Project. This initiative, funded by the UN-Women (WPHF) aims to address the women challenges especially displaced women and girls and to build the resilience at the community level for women economic recovery, participation, and empowerment. 30 local small enterprises received $9000 (AFN 720,062) for re-operation and enhancement of their enterprises. These packages ensure enterprises have access to essential items, equip their enterprises and empower their economic. The program specifically targets displaced women and girls, such as women and girls, returnees and families who face limited income. The HRMDO's cash assistance distribution is a significant step towards protecting vulnerable displaced women and girls in district 12 & 13 of Kabul Province. This initiative contributes to build the resilience at the community level for women economic recovery, participation, and empowerment.

  • 11. Support of women and Girls through providing hand craft tools (Tailoring and embroidery machine and carpet making tools)

Human Resources Management and development Organization (HRMDO) under the Rainbow project (An initiative to support disadvantaged Women, economic, livelihood and social inclusion) distributed Tailoring and embroidery machine and carpet making tools for 60 women and girls whom have completed the 4 months’ vocational skill training in district 12 and 13 of Kabul City. This project is financially supported of UN-Women (Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund).

  • 13. Participation of Human Resources Management and Development Organization (HRMDO) in victory and economic Development of Afghanistan Exhibition:

HRMDO is committed to support local enterprises and provide the market for their product and attract the support of donors, government and private sector. Hence; HRMDO facilitated the participation of 30 local enterprises from 2 district of Kabul city. The exhibition continues for 4 days and it was a best chance for local enterprises. Besides that, HRMDO hosted several international agencies such as UN-women, UNDP, UNOPs and private sector authorities and shared their services and activities with them. They promised that will continue their support with Afghan women.

  • 14. Capacity building training/ workshop for CSOs/NGOs staff

HRMDO under Rainbow project conducted the capacity building session for CSOs staff. The program designed to build the capacity of CSO’s staff and equip them with required knowledge of office bearer and enhance the moral of women and girls, and community-based women entities to struggle the barriers and obstacles against their fundamental rights. The capacity building training/ workshop conducted for 7 days in HRMDO main office with participation of 20 staff from CSO’s and 8 staff from HRMDO.
